We worked together on a 'museum takeover' exhibition in February, where flags and LGBT donations to the museum were displayed. We're very proud of our connection and look forward to many more projects, including an archive that will see memories and experiences recorded for the future.

During the Pride celebrations this year, Congleton Museum hosted a temporary interactive exhibition inviting visitors to express their Pride.

The exhibition was a flag-sized piece of fabric, displayed in the temporary exhibition room upstairs at the museum, which visitors were encouraged to write on. Various mediums were used such as paint, markers, charcoal and reief were provided, so that visitors could express what Pride means to them in their own way. Whether a feeling, a short story, a quote or words of inspiration.

Our hope is that the flag will become a valuable piece of art representing community for the museum's collection.

Congleton Pride has a little bit of it's own history too. We've put on our events whenever we safely could since 2019. A lockdown may have stopped us, but a bit of rain never will. We're always planning bigger and better things....
