Body Positive is featuring the Hidden Lives project for this years LGBTQ+ History Month. 

A group of older LGBTQ+ people have  developed, through a series of workshops, their stories of how the past impacted upon their ability to live an authentic life. The project highlights the changes that have impacted on LGBTQ+ people, their friends and families by the telling of emotional and heart-breaking stories of shame, rejection, love, acceptance and celebration.

The project recorded stories give an unmatched insight into the lives of older LGBTQ+ people and why some still feel unable to be their true selves all the time.

A table top exhibition is touring libraries in Cheshire West during LGBTQ+ History Month 2024 highlighting the hidden histories of a marginalised community. Visit hiddenlives.uk to hear and see stories of Cheshire’s LGBTQ+ past.
