We’d like to announce the launch of "The Q Word," an exciting new radio show and podcast dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community. Hosted by Garry Fuller and Gordon Watt, "The Q Word" promises to bring a fresh and vibrant voice to the airwaves starting this July.

The programme will air monthly on Churnet Sound over DAB radio, broadcasting live on the first Sunday of each month from 8pm. Following the radio broadcast, the show will be available across all major podcast platforms a week later, ensuring accessibility and convenience for all listeners.

Garry Fuller and Gordon Watt, both passionate advocates for the LGBTQIA+ community, bring their unique perspectives and dynamic chemistry to the show. Their combined experience in media and activism guarantees engaging and insightful content.

"The Q Word" will adopt a magazine-style format, featuring a diverse range of segments including:

• News: The latest updates and important issues affecting the LGBTQIA+ community.

• Features: In-depth explorations of relevant topics, from health to history.

• Upcoming Events: Highlights of must-attend events in Staffordshire, Cheshire, and beyond.

• Culture & Art: Spotlights on LGBTQIA+ contributions to the arts, literature, and cultural scenes.

• Fun Discussions: Light-hearted and entertaining conversations between the hosts, guest speakers, and interviews recorded throughout the month.

While "The Q Word" will primarily focus on the Staffordshire and Cheshire regions, the show will also cover significant stories and events from further afield, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive programme for all listeners.

The inaugural broadcast of "The Q Word" will take place on the first weekend of July, airing at 8pm. Listeners can tune in via DAB radio on Churnet Sound, with the podcast version available a week later on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts.
