Spring is tiptoeing in with fresh flowers, buds appearing on the trees and that slightly optimistic sunshine that says winter has finally packed its bags. The paths may be brighter but the breeze can still be cheeky, so do dress appropriately. We have three mid April strolls lined up, each beginning at 11:00am and finishing no later than 1:00pm, followed by a cuppa and a chat.
Thursday 9th April
Astbury Mere Country Park
Congleton
A gentle and sociable circular walk around the mere with wide, well surfaced paths and lovely open water views. This is an easy paced stroll, perfect for conversation while enjoying early spring greenery and birdlife.
Meet at Astbury Mere Country Park Car Park, Sandy Lane, Congleton, CW12 4FP
The car park is signposted from Rood Hill Road and Sandy Lane. Pay and display parking available.

Friday 10th April
Congleton Park
A relaxed riverside walk through landscaped gardens, woodland paths and open parkland following the River Dane. A lovely mix of town park charm and peaceful green space.
Meet at Congleton Leisure Centre Car Park, Worrall Street, Congleton, CW12 1DT
Parking is available at the leisure centre. The park entrance is a short walk from the café.

Thursday 16th April
Tegg’s Nose Country Park
Macclesfield
A slightly more elevated stroll with rewarding views across the Cheshire plain and surrounding hills. Expect wide tracks, fresh moorland air and a sense of proper countryside without anything too strenuous.

From Macclesfield follow signs for Tegg’s Nose along Buxton Old Road. The main car park is at the top.

We will finish with refreshments at the Tegg’s Nose café.
All walks begin at 11:00am and finish no later than 1:00pm. Please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather. New walkers are always warmly welcome.
