Join Silver Rainbows, Body Positive's project for older LGBTQ+ people this August for a series of friendly, inclusive health and wellbeing walks for people of all ages, abilities and experiences. Whether you're after gentle excercise, new mates or just a bit of fresh air - come along.

Our summertime strolls offer a gentle way to boost your wellbeing while meeting like-minded people in a safe, supportive space. Each walk is designed with access and inclusion in mind, and every outing finishes with a warm brew and a friendly chat.

These walks are welcoming to older adults, people with mixed abitlities, and trans or nonbinary individuals. They're taken at a relaxed pace, with accessibility and support built in throughout. Each stroll is led by a qualified walk leader, with Body Positive staff on hand, and finishes with a social stop at a local cafe for a relaxed Tea & Tattle.

Tegg's Nose Country Park

Thursday 7th August 

Starting at 11:00am. Car Park: Buxton Old Road, Macclesfield, SK11 0AP. Highlight: Sweeping hilltop views and a peaceful quarry path loop through stunning moorland.

Congleton Riverside Loop

Monday 11th August 

Starting at 11:00am. Car Park: Congleton Park Car Park, Park Road, Congleton, CW12 1JG. Highlight: A gentle riverside loop with historic bridges and shady woodland.

Delamere Forest

Sunday 17th August

Starting at 11:00am. Car Park: Delamere Forest Car Park, Station Road, Delamere, CW8 2JD. Highlight: Wide forest trails, Blakemere Moss lake, and the sound of woodpeckers overhead.

Stanney Woods

Sunday 31st August

Starting at noon. Car Park: Stanney Woods Car Park, Stanney Lane, Ellesmere Port, CH65 9HW. Highlight: An ancient woodland hideaway perfect for spotting squirrels and spring flowers.
